Our Story
Elder's Rest now stands on land that was once used for a smaller building used for canning in the summer. In the 1980's, when that building became less useable, Jim Elder, a Building Trades teacher at the time, built the cabin in its place. The wood covering the living room walls, and also that was used to make part of the island are the original building.
Our favorite feature is that the small stream that runs through the property runs under the deck in the back, giving an opportunity to sit outside and hear the peacefulness of the running water.
